Shakti Callikan is a cultural entrepreneur whose work focuses on creating new ways to contribute to social change and local empowerment. She started her carrier in the social development area, and after having founded a human rights organisation in Mauritius, she worked in various NGOs in India. Back in Mauritius, she co-founded and managed my Moris, a company promoting cultural tourism and Mauritian heritage that gave her a new perspective on how to create bridges between the NGO and the corporate worlds. Lately, she has been directing audio documentaries, launching podcast shows, as well as writing and publishing a book about Mauritian colours. Shakti enjoys thinking about new ways to make better things happen.
